I Am Zlatan My Story On And Off The Field By Zlatan Ibrahimović

Over the summer I read I Am Zlatan My Story On And Off The Field. This is an autobiography of one of my favorite soccer players, Zlatan Ibrahimović. Zlatan had a tough time growing up in Malmo Sweden. He never had supportive parents and almost never had food in the house. His parents divorced when he was only 2. His father, a yugoslavian immigrant won custody over Zlatan. Sefik, Zlatan's father had a drinking problem and was not the supportive dad Zlatan needed. Despite a hard early life Zlatan made his professional debut at age 18 in 1999. The Swedish forward helped the club reach the top division. After playing so well he quickly got a move to the dutch giant AFC Ajax. At Ajax Zlatan showed his famous temper and aggressive play style. His skills led AFC Ajax to two titles in his first season. He stayed at Ajax for 4 years and then transferred to Italy’s  champions. He won two of italy’s  titles but both were stripped because the owner was accused of match fixing. After hearing about the scandal Ibrahimović forced his way to AC Milan. At AC he won three straight championships and was the top goal scorer. In 2009 Ibrahimović was transferred to F.C Barcelona. The club won an Impossible 8 championships in a row, but everything good comes to an end. Barcelona finally lost to Atlético Madrid on the last day of the season. From an underprivileged child to one of the best ever soccer players Zlatan Ibrahimović’s story is truly inspirational to all.

Zlatan’s story is inspiring. It is interesting to hear from him when he almost never talks to the press and is one of the most infamous players in world soccer. His story is truly unique and you will not find anything like this anywhere else. I recommend this book to Zlatan fans as well as Soccer fans and anyone who enjoys fun autobiographies.
