                                                                     Uprising

"Uprising" tells the story of the hard working conditions of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory and two girls Bella from Italy, Yetta from Russia who work at the factory and their friend Jane from New York that they meet during the strikes against the factory. Soon after both Bella and Jane find out depressing news about their families, they move in with Yetta and help her with the strike against the shirtwaist factory. Eventually, strike is over, Yetta and Bella go back to the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory and Jane finds a job as a sort of babysitter for the daughters of the owner of the factory, landing them all in the factory on the day of one of the biggest factory fires in history.
Since this is a Historical Fiction book, of course this relates to the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory and the fire. But it also is connected to the hard working conditions that many other immigrants went through as well. If you like Historical fiction or books were it is mostly hard to tell what will happen next, this is a good book to read. Otherwise, Don't.
