Because of Winn-Dixie - Sophia

Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate Dicamillo is a fabulous, heart touching book about a girl who moves to a new town with her father and there she rescues a dog from grocery store called Winn-Dixie! Winn-Dixie and the girl (Opal) form a strong bind and go on lots of cool adventures and meet new people who are surprisingly very interesting. This book reminds me of a book called "Bud not Buddy" because Bud is on a big search to find his dad and in "Because of Winn-Dixie" Opal is always thinking about her mom and what she looked like and what her personality is like and where she went.  I would recommend this book to a dog lover or a cat lover who likes reading about dogs, I would also recommend this book to someone who likes realistic fiction and one main character but with lots of other important characters too!
