"If You're Reading This, It's Too Late" is a compelling sequel to "The Name Of This Book Is Secret" that follows the lives of two members of the Terces Society, Cassandra, and Max- Earnest. Cassandra is a (Spoiler Alert!) Orphan survivalist who was dropped off on her mother's doorstep. Max- Earnest is a child from a divorced family. His life is split in half, as he does not want to prefer one parent over another. They find a special sphere that controls sound, and summon a strange homunculus (an artificial human) called Mister Cabbage Face. They then embark on a journey to protect the homunculus from The Masters Of The Midnight Sun, an evil alchemist group hellbent on finding out the notorious "secret", SOCK ❤︎ ROACHES, and even their classmate, Amber.
I definitely recommend this book, and "The Name Of This Book Is Secret" to anyone who likes mystery, sci- fi, and fantasy all jumbled up in one book. The end also contains magic tricks, the author giving himself an interview, and even a recipe for roasting villains. This series is written similarly to the "Mysterious Benedict Society" series.
