Eleanor And Park By Rainbow Rowell is a novel about a teenage girl named Eleanor who starts at a new school and meets a boy named Park. Eleanor is a quirky girl and a lot of people at her school make fun of her. On the first day of school Eleanor gets on the bus and there are no more seats left except one next to Park. Park thinks that she is the weirdest girl ever and hates that she sits next to him every day. Eventually Eleanor and Park start to talk more and then they fall in love.
Eleanor lives with her 4 siblings and her mom and her mom's husband, Richie. Richie is a horrible man and he really has it out for Eleanor. Eleanor also does not fit in at school and the kids bully her a lot. Park lives with his mom, dad and his younger brother, and to Eleanor they are a "perfect" family. Eleanor starts to spend a lot of time with Park but has to hide this from Richie, the mean stepfather.
This book is beautifully written and you will not want to stop reading. There is a lot of drama at the end - I won't give away the details! I recommend this book to someone who likes romance or realistic fiction, or even both.
